Fiddle Camp Adventures...

Thanks to encouragement from my dear wise Aunt Val, I'm back... blogging again...
And at Fiddle Camp for the 7th year... on piano with Mum (guitar) and Dad (piano).
Our teachers are masterful and thoroughly love this genre. And my toes are tapping - though it's been a busy month...

Returned from Robin's Celebration of Life, closed up classes at the college and then went to Whistler for the wonderful family reunion.

Back for a week of coughing and cold recovery and then a week of working (yes some of us still do that thing!) and then back to the island, Vancouver, that is, for a wonderful connection with the Monk family and Sheila Muth. It was such a joy to honour Karl's life and to have time with neighbourhood friends - framily. then a long drive home through the wildfire smoke with a memorable stop at the Hedley Hostel and home sweet home.

It's HOT and we're so lucky that the fires are not impacting us directly here yet - however it's always a concern...

Fiddle Camp started yesterday in Castlegar and the Instructor Concert in the Park in Trail is this evening... always a delight to hear and watch these Canadian Champions play...
In our piano class, Kimberley Holmes is the teacher - from Nova Scotia and she's full of energy. She also knows someone who knew Agret Mackay - and was cutting Rocket Richard's hair at the same time as Agret was stitching up his head during hockey games... OK maybe the haircuts came after or before... Anyway she shared a photo... too cool. I'll try to upload... later...

OK. Time for my walk and then getting ready to pick up M&D...
Have a wonderful day everyone!
